This past weekend we attended the Super SnoCross race at the Pontiac Silverdome.
This was race #10 on our schedule. Mike Schultz again sat out this weekend
resting from his injuries that occurred at the Winter X-Games. So once again we
went with only Bobby LePage.
Bobby did quite well in qualifying taking a second in both Semi-Pro Stock and
Semi-Prop Open which put him directly into the final. The top three from each
heat went on to the final while the remainder would go to the LCQ.
After a long wait and the hour and a half autograph session it was time to get
ready to race for the main event. In Semi-Pro Stock Bobby got a decent start
but got tangled up in a big pile up in turn three on the first lap. This put
him down a lap from the start. He rode hard and fast trying to make up some
time and positions. At the checkered he finished in 7th place.
In Semi-Pro Open Bobby again got a pretty good start but went off when he was
hit in the first turn putting him back in the pack. Again he fought his way
through traffic and finished in 6th plavce.
Our next stop in all the way in Valcourt Quebec this coming weekend where we get
back to the second half of the season in the WSA Worldwide Championship series.
We look forward to having Mike Schultz back healthy and ready to rock and roll
this coming weekend along with Bobby LePage.
